Morning Briefing: Orla Mining Continue to Expand the South Carlin Complex

Good morning and welcome back to the Mining Stock Daily morning briefing. I’m your host, Trevor Hall

It's Tuesday, December 2nd.

The metals market was at it again yesterday, with silver putting in a new high, just north of $59 an ounce on the front month and gold climbing up to and being rejected at $4,300 an ounce. It appears both metals are taking a bit of a breather today, and rightfully so, as both gold and silver have had an extraordinary week leading into December. And we don’t speak about uranium much here on the morning briefing, but its worth mentioning today. The spot price fell last month to a two-month low with improved supply outlooks offsetting bets on stronger usage. The world's largest uranium miner, Kazatomprom, reported a 33% growth rate in exports in the third quarter and a 10% increase in total output, limiting concerns of tighter supply of the energy metal.

We’ll get to the news from the miners and explorers here in a moment, but first a quick word about today’s sponsor.

This episode of Mining Stock Daily is brought to you by… Vizsla Silver

Vizsla Silver is focused on becoming one of the world’s largest single-asset silver producers through the exploration and development of the 100% owned Panuco-Copala silver-gold district in Sinaloa, Mexico. The company consolidated this historic district in 2019 and has now completed over 375,000 meters of drilling. The company has the world's largest, undeveloped high-grade silver resource. And here’s what you need to know this morning…..

Cartier Resources published results of their fifth batch of assays from the drilling program at the North Contact Zone on the Cadillac Project in Val-d’Or. Highlights in this batch included 16.2 g/t Au over 3.5m, 57.8 g/t au over .5m and 29.7 g/t over .7m. Upcoming exploration drilling is planned to test several new high-priority regional targets along strike of the Contact Sector, including the new Nordeau Sector, all backed by detailed structural and geological modelling and VRIFY’s artificial intelligence (AI) driven targeting, reinforcing the potential for additional gold discoveries. The company also noted drilling at the newly identified Heva Fault Zone did intersect visible gold. Assays there are pending. (TSXV: ECR) News Release

Orla Mining have drill results out from the 2025 exploration program at the South Carlin Complex in Nevada. he 18,000-metre drilling campaign delivered significant oxide intercepts outside current pit designs and advanced multiple satellite targets, reinforcing resource growth potential across the Company's extensive land package along the prolific Carlin Trend ahead of planned 2028 production. Drilling intersected significant oxide mineralization 100-130 metres beyond current feasibility pit shells at both Pinion and Dark Star deposits with 67.1m of 1.06 g/t au at Pinion and 5.65 g/t oxide gold over 22.6m at Dark Star. Satellite discoveries also continue to advance at Spike and Firebox. (TSX: OLA) (NYSE: ORLA) News Release

Trifecta Gold reported their assay results from the first three holes of its six-hole inaugural drill program at the Rye Project in Yukon. Hole 1 intersected 1.02 g/t gold over 37 metres, including 1.98 g/t gold over 15 metres. Drill hole RY-25-02 intersected 44.3 g/t gold over 0.58 metres. The team is now focused on interrogation of geological and geochemical data with the belief that these initial intercepts represent the outer zones of a much larger system. The finalized assay results for the remaining holes, along with multi-element analyses of the drill core samples, which will include pathfinder elements are expected in the coming weeks. Blackrock Silver announced their final assays from the Eastern Expansion drill program at the Tonopah West project in Nevada. A few selected highlighs included 1.83m of 156.1 g/t AgEq with expansion drilling. Conversion drilling results included 2.13m of 179.1 g/t AgEq and .92m of 2,122.7 g/t AgEq. At least three mineralized northwest oriented structures have been identified within the 1.2 kilometre eastern expansion trend running parallel to the Pittsburg-Monarch fault that suggest a series of footwall fault splays as opposed to a singular east-west structure. The Program drilled a total of 6,798 metres (22,896 feet) in twenty-four drillholes, however, only 22 drillholes were completed, as two pre-collar holes were not usable for core tails. Kenorland Minerals shared results from its 2025 geochemical and prospecting surveys targeting gold system at the Western Wabigoon and Flora projects in northwestern Ontario. Kenorland did identify multiple km-scale gold-in-till anomalies across both project with complex structural and geologic settings, which bode to be prospective for orogenic gold systems. Planning for the 2026 field campaign is under way with up to 5,000m of diamond drilling proposed, designed as a series of fences to test key structural intersections associated with strong gold-in-till and gold grain anomalies, focusing on the priority W2 target of the Western Wabigoon Project. At the Flora Project, 2026 work will focus on additional surface exploration, including mapping and prospecting to help refine targets intended to position Flora for a future drill program. District Metals announced new results from a MobileMT survey conducted over the Malgomaj mineral licenses in north-central Sweden. The survey outlined six low resistivity anomalies consistent with the MobileMT signature observed at the company’s Viken Deposit. These results represent a major step forward in District's strategy to delineate drill-ready targets within a largely underexplored region characterized by Alum Shales enriched in vanadium, potash, uranium, molybdenum, nickel, zinc, copper, and rare earth elements. On the basis of these encouraging results, the Company has filed an application for a new mineral license adjacent to the Company's existing Malgomaj mineral license nr 1003, that covers potential extensions of the MobileMT anomaly. DPM Metals announced its initial mineral resource estimates for the Dumitru Potok, Rakita North and Frasen prospects in eastern Serbia, all located within one to two kilometres of planned Čoka Rakita infrastructure. The estimates shows a potential district scale platform, with a combined Inferred MRE of 84.4 million tonnes at a grade of 0.97 g/t gold and 1.02% copper for 2.6 million ounces of gold and 1.9 billion pounds of copper. All three deposits remain open in multiple directions. Last week, DPM published the feasibility study results for Čoka Rakita, which came in with an NPV of $782M and an IRR of 36%.
