Morning Briefing: New Drill Results from Gold Hart, Vizsla Copper and Brixton Metals
Good morning and welcome back to the Mining Stock Daily morning briefing. I’m Trevor Hall.
It's Tuesday, July 22nd
The metals complex had a good lift to the week yesterday. Gold closed the day up over 1.4% to $3,406 an oz, where it is currently sitting this morning. Interestingly, and perhaps more by coincidence than anything else, gold’s front month contract transitions from August to the December Contract the day before the August 1st tariffs are to be implemented. So it would be a very interesting week ahead of us. Silver rocked for more than 2 and a quarter percent to $39.33/oz yesterday. Buyers of silver have come in this morning and picked it up from its lows overnight. Copper added 6 cents yesterday and closed at $5.66 a lb and more buyers are coming in this morning on the Doc as well. Platinum and palladium saw continued buying yesterday but both are marginally in the red this morning after yesterday’s close.
We’ll get to the news from the miners and explorers here in a moment, but first a quick word about today’s sponsor.
This episode of Mining Stock Daily is brought to you by…Vizsla Silver
Vizsla Silver is focused on becoming one of the world’s largest single-asset silver producers through the exploration and development of the 100% owned Panuco-Copala silver-gold district in Sinaloa, Mexico. The company consolidated this historic district in 2019 and has now completed over 375,000 meters of drilling. The company has the world's largest, undeveloped high-grade silver resource. And here’s what you need to know this morning…..
Vizsla Copper announced the discovery of a significant copper-molybdenum porphyry-related system at the Thira target on the Poplar Project in British Columbia. The first drill hole of the program, TH25-138, intersected near-surface, porphyry-related copper-molybdenum-silver-gold mineralization throughout its entire ~500 meter length with assay returning 499.3 meters of 0.39% copper equivalent and included 345.3 meters of 0.43% copper equivalent. The drill rig is currently evaluating the western extent of strong copper-molybdenum mineralization intersected in discovery hole TH25-138. (TSXV: VCU) (OTCQB: VCUFF) News Release
Heliostar Metals announced the restart of mining operations at San Agustin, located in the state of Durango. Heliostar presently produces gold from residual leaching at the San Agustin Mine. The Company will increase production by mining the mineral reserve, principally in an area the Company describes as the Corner Area. According to the company, operations analysis supports a post-tax NPV5% of US$35.25M, IRR of 548%, CAPEX of US$4.2M and an output of 45,000 total gold ounces produced at a US$3,000/oz gold price. Drilling will commence immediately in H2, 2025, on oxide expansion targets, followed by sulphide porphyry/breccia exploration. (TSXV: HSTR) (OTCQX: HSTXF) News Release
Brixton Metals reported their first batch of drill results of the 2025 season from its wholly owned Thorn Project located in NW British Columbia, Canada. Shallow drilling was targeting northeast trending gold bearing feeder structures related to the Camp Creek Cu-Au-Ag-Mo porphyry system and returned 1.5m of 9.5 g/t gold, 13.8% copper, 771.5 g/t silver, 7.6% lead, 609.50 g/t tellurium, 7.1% zinc from 165.5m depth. Directly above and excluding the high-grade zone is a 19.5m interval that returned 0.43 g/t gold, 37.97 g/t silver, 0.55% copper from 146m depth. (TSX-V: BBB, OTCQB: BBBXF) News Release
Gold Hart Copper announced its first results of diamond drilling at the Tolita gold-copper-molybdenum property in the Vicuña District of Chile. Gold Hart intercepted 203.5m of 0.25g/t gold equivalent from 137.5m, including a higher grade zone of 67m at 0.38g/t gold equivalent. Later in this same hole, Gold Hart intercepted another 118m of 0.24g/t gold equivalent, including 45.5m at 0.30g/t gold equivalent. The drill hole finished in mineralization. There was a sterile zone at 150m which the team believes is a significant fault and is pushing the core of the system closer to surface on the eastern side of the property. (TSXV: HART) News Release
K2 Gold says the The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is preparing the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for K2's Mojave Project following the close of the public comment period. Rock samples collected over 100m south of the original discovery zone returned values of 27.6 g/t Au and 21.5 g/t Au at Gold Valley. At the Flores Area, sampling returned 3.07 g/t Au and 4.02 g/t Au, in the vicinity of K2's high-grade chip-channel sampling at the target. (TSXV: KTO) (OTCQB: KTGDF) News Release
