Morning Briefing: Kingfisher Metals Provides Exploration Update form HWY 37
Good morning and welcome back to the Mining Stock Daily morning briefing. I’m Trevor Hall.
It's Thursday, July 31st.
The FOMC held rates steady yesterday and left September’s decision data dependent. Despite two governors dissenting from the decision, Jerome Powell remains steadfast not to cut rates at this time despite mounting pressure to do so. At the same time, President Trump announced clarification on the copper tariffs, which now exclude refined copper on the list. Copper futures on the Comex tumbled 20% yesterday and are moving even further in the red this morning. The US is now having to work with a supply of copper brought into the US as the trade was to front-run the expanded tariffs before the deadline. Gold is in the green this morning while silver is seeing another deep red day.
We’ll get to the news from the miners and explorers here in a moment, but first a quick word about today’s sponsor.
