Morning Briefing: Kingfisher Metals has a New Discovery at HWY 37

Good morning and welcome back to the Mining Stock Daily morning briefing. I’m your host, Trevor Hall

It's Thursday, January 22nd.

Markets were whipsawed yesterday, including the precious metals sector, as both gold and silver retreated from their highs as President Trump statements eased market fears of a deeper geopolitical and trade dispute over Greenland. Trump ruled out using military force to acquire Greenland while also scaling back tariff threats against European countries. He stated a framework for a deal was on the table, yet that statement is hardly confirmed by the European counterparties and the details of said agreement remain unclear. This morning, gold is off its lows and almost flat from yesterday’s close. Silver is consolidating at $93/oz. Copper is retreating, down over 1%.

We’ll get to the news from the miners and explorers here in a moment, but first a quick word about today’s sponsor.

This episode of Mining Stock Daily is brought to you by… Revival Gold.

Revival Gold is one of the largest pure gold mine developer operating in the United States. The Company is advancing the Mercur Gold Project in Utah and mine permitting preparations and ongoing exploration at the Beartrack-Arnett Gold Project located in Idaho. Revival Gold is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker symbol “RVG” and trades on the OTCQX Market under the ticker symbol “RVLGF”. Learn more about the company at revival-gold.com

And here’s what you need to know this morning…..

Kingfisher Metals announced final assay results from its 2025 drill program on the  HWY 37 project in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia. Hole 11 confirms the discovery of a new copper-gold porphyry system below the Hank epithermal gold-silver mineralized system. Assays returned 425m of .4% CuEq. This newly identified zone represents a blind discovery, as porphyry Cu-Au mineralization had not previously been recognized or reported at Hank. These results validate Kingfisher's exploration model and demonstrate the potential for the Hank area to host one or more large-scale porphyry Cu-Au systems. Mineralization remains open in all directions, with the drill hole terminating in increasing copper grades at 959.0 m depth. (TSXV:KFR)(OTCQB:KGFMF) News Release

Tudor Gold reported is updated mineral resource estimate for the Goldstorm Deposit on its flagship Treaty Creek Project in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia. The updated numbers show an an indicated resource of 24.9 million ounces of gold, 148.7 million ounces of silver and 3.048 billion pounds of copper and an inferred resource of 4.0 million ounces of gold, 18.6 million ounces of silver and 327.7 million pounds of copper. Both are using a cut-off value of US$50 per tonne. The company says with the resource, they can now advance Treaty Creek towards production with an underground mine initially targeting roughly 300,000 ounces of gold per year. Alaska Silver also updated its mineral resources for the Illinois Creek deposit in Western Alaska. The Illinois Creek deposit represents one of the distal zones of the +7.5km long Illinois Creek Carbonate Replacement Deposit system and this updated mineral resource estimate was primarily undertaken to quantify the realities of the current price environment for gold and silver. Its Indicated mineral resource now sits at 9.0Mt @ 0.92 g/t gold and 29.72 g/t silver containing 260,000 ounces of gold and 8.3 million ounces of silver. Inferred resources are now at 10.9Mt @ 0.84 g/t gold and 30.1 g/t silver containing 290,000 ounces of gold and 10.4 million ounces of silver. The Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources are based on an open-pit shell assuming metals prices of US$3,500/oz gold and US$45/oz silver. (TSXV: WAM) News Release

Talisker Resources published results of 20 new drill holes from the late 2025 campaign targeting dip and strike extension in the currently producing Mustang Mine. Highlights include 46.5 g/t Au over .7m, 26 g/t Au over .5m, 99.6 g/t Au over .5m and 39.3 g/t over .76m. In 2025, a total of 35 underground diamond drill holes for 7,515 metres were completed from three drill bays in the Mustang Mine, and a total of 15 surface diamond drill holes for 5,367 metres were completed from one drill pad at Bralorne West. The underground resource conversion drill program was focused on infill drilling at the Alhambra, BK, and BK-9870 Veins within the Mustang Mine. (TSX:TSK | OTCQX:TSKFF) News Release

Banyan Gold has intersected some very high-grade silver at the Powerline Deposit at its AurMac Project in Yukon. The company reported a 1.7m interval of 10,734 g/t Ag which was within 10.4m of 1,841 g/t Ag. The company says the Keno-style veins overprinting the gold represents a compelling new target for the company. (TSX-V:BYN) (OTCQB:BYAGF) News Release

Q2 Metals has extended mineralization at the Cisco lithium project in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec, Canada with this morning’s new assay results. Hole 65 returned 179.2 m at 1.24% Li2O and 15.7 m at 1.48% Li2O. The hole located north of the known Mineralized Zone and west of the CO1 outcrop, extends the system to the north at shallow depths where mineralization was not expected. Drilling has now resumed at the Cisco Project, with a four-rig program primarily focused on continued infill drilling towards indicated resource definition for inclusion in an inaugural Preliminary Economic Assessment, targeted for late 2026. Revival Gold provided an exploration update for its Beartrack-Arnett gold project in Idaho. The company has completed just over 1,000m of drilling in core in four holes targeting a two-kilometer step-out on the Beartrack-Arnett property at the greenfield Sharkey target and extensions of high-grade Joss mineralization, which was last drilled in 2022. Drilling at Sharkey did encounter target stratigraphy in one of the three holes in the area. Geochemical assay results and analysis are pending. (TSXV:RVG) (OTCQX:RVLGF) News Release

K2 Gold says drilling is now underway at its 100%-owned Si2 Gold Project, located approximately 59 kilometers west of Tonopah, Nevada, in the prolific Walker Lane Trend. This drill program represents the culmination of significant technical studies and reinterpretation at Si2. The project is now understood to be an intact low-sulphidation epithermal gold system, with prior drilling having tested only the shallow upper expression. For the first time, K2 is drilling high-priority targets at depth, where stronger gold mineralization is commonly developed in epithermal systems. (TSXV: KTO) (OTCQB: KTGDF) News Release

Gold Hart Copper provided a drilling update from the company’s Tolita gold copper molybdenum and silver asset in the Vicuña Copper-Gold District of Chile. The drill has reached a depth of approximately 700m and from a geological perspective, Gold Hart's preliminary interpretation is that the hole remains within the mineralized system of interest. The drill core has already been logged up to approximately 650m. Importantly, the core continues to display encouraging characteristics, with multiple intervals showing strong hydrothermal alterations and mineralization consistent with a fertile porphyry-style environment. Such observations support further deepening of the hole.  The Company is planning to add a reverse circulation (RC) drill rig in order to target certain higher grade opportunities closer to surface at Tolita. Specifically, Gold Hart intends to target its highest grade trench, which grades 8.61g/t gold equivalent over 10m. (TSXV: HART) News Release
