Morning Briefing: Kenorland Minerals Reports High-Grade Gold Assays from Frotet
Good morning and welcome back to the Mining Stock Daily morning briefing. I’m Trevor Hall.
It's Tuesday, June 17th.
Gold gave back its Friday gains yesterday, as speculators continued to learn the lesson that fear-trading on precious metals typically does not last long. Geopolitical shocks to the gold market take renounce moves quicker than they are made. Gold’s move on the back of the escalation in the Middle East remains moderate. It closed its front month contract yesterday at $3,417/oz, or down 1%. The metal remains marginally lower this morning. Its a different story for silver today. It has hit a 13-year high this morning hitting $37/oz. The board of the Federal Reserve will commence their meeting today. We will await any sort of news out of the Jerome Powell press conference tomorrow.
We’ll get to the news from the miners and explorers here in a moment, but first a quick word about today’s sponsor.

Kenorland Minerals announces partial assay results from the 2025 winter drill program at the Frotet Project in Quebec. Assays from 21 of 34 drill holes completed, including 14,048 meters of the 22,913-meter program, were reported. Results included 6.70m at 30.41 g/t Au incl. 2.75m at 72.56 g/t, 7.70m at 16.26 g/t Au incl. 0.70m at 121.70 g/t, and 1.30m at 218.10 g/t Au incl. 0.40m at 705.40 g/t Au. High grade mineralisation from step-out drill holes within the deep portions of Regnault continues to demonstrate the system remains open along strike and at depth. Assays remain pending from additional drill holes that tested the R2 trend during the winter campaign. (TSXV: KLD) (OTCQX: KLDCF) News Release
Aldebaran Resources published results of 11 holes from the in-fill drilling program currently being completed at the Altar project in San Juan, Argentina. The goal of these holes was to upgrade blocks of known resource classified as Inferred to Measured & Indicated. All holes reported today were focused either on the Altar Central or Altar United zones. Highlighted results were 578m of .51% CuEq from a depth of 372m, 557m of .39% CuEq and 383m of .47% CuEq. A total of 25,186.70 m of drilling was completed on the project during the 2024-2025 field campaign, including 5,977.50 m of drilling completed for metallurgical purposes.
